be a man among men

I have posted this before, but made some revisions. I can no longer ignore my dharmic duty after the profound spiritual weekend that I just experienced. This is a reminder to myself moreso, but if you find some sense within the words, it would make my day. :)
I do understand everyone has their own opinions and belief and walk their own path, but this resonates in all beliefs and in life in general. Which I find quite beautiful.

Namaste good soul. I honor the place in you that is also in me.

Transform your Ego.

Past the illusion of yourself is a whole new consciousness, foreign to the way you currently perceive life. It is a self realized reality capable of endless means and compassion if you so choose to accept it. Those are the keys to the path (all paths and any paths), perception and acceptance.

The mind is set free once you let go of all the perspectives ingrained into your consciousness. You must discern that a huge part of ego creates a foolhardy demeanor and sets a limitation on potential.
It is only after you release yourself entirely, relinquishing all that you think you know into full awareness, that there’s nothing but a calm and humbling sense of boundless wonder and room for a newly emancipated psyche to freely examine and create into its own mindful existence anything you so decide to perceive or believe. This must be tested for itself however. One should not see or believe without question. That would not be your own path, but someone else’s.

An ego controlled consciousness is only similar to an awakened consciousness in the way that perception is still everything to being. The power of perception needs to be realized. It constitutes the direction of life, as well as prepares for outside components that affect personal happenings.
The ultimate goal is a fully realized and awakened mindset that does not think twice to show compassion and humilty; it’s trained, realized, and fully disciplined inwardly to reveal a deeper, kinder perception and appreciation of thoughts void of the unneeded security that ego falsely provides.
Without a rampant ego to cast judgement, seek control, feel insecurities, or let in anger, etc., the self comes close to a boundless being; it is nothing and yet everything all at once. As well, the petty trivial matters that most concern themselves with, no longer affect one in the way they have been used to. It’s a realization very close to complete free-ness and utter at peace-ness. Once ego has been transformed, the heart can’t help but feel overwhelming compassion and empathy for all the people it encounters; lost, lonely, and enduring the same exact struggle as you once found yourself.

One of the things the world needs infinitely more than politics, or media, or money, or what have you, is a truly sincere return to decency. A global realization has to be understood that we as fellow beings, simply neighbors on this planet, are too uncaring, inconsiderate, and not nearly genuine enough towards one another. This is the root of why the human condition is under turmoil, not because of war, or famine, or prejudices. Those all stem from the current dominant archetype of our world; ego.

Change occurs from one person to another, however discouraging it can be. Most people, may it be due to their ego, or something entirely different, have a difficult time simply showing compassion freely just as it should be given or even worse don’t know how to accept it. There are many who would revel in the selfish reward of a kind deed, but you can’t seek any sort of fulfillment from your actions; it only shows contradiction and a false show of sincerity. You will soon see that the merit of a genuine action is merely hidden within the act itself.

Attainment takes a certain amount of patience and a surly amount of composure and courage, not to mention a burning passion for not only self but world betterment. It’s not easy, actually extremely frustrating at the most inopportune moments, and that is usually the test. From one deeply introspective individual to another, transcending and transforming your ego is one of the first steps to enlightenment and world healing. It will make way for genuine compassion in all areas of life and provide you the key to a completely unexplored and beautiful new reality, previously dormant in yourself.

I’ve given you the what, the who, the why and here is a wonderful post by another blogger that helps explain the how, simply because this is much too long and my fingers are telling me to go fuck myself. I will add though that meditation is fantastic.
